Nashville Predators star appears closer to heading to free agency
Ah, the off-season, a time of will they or won't they. Will star players stay with the teams they've played their entire careers with, or will they test free the free agent market to see what kind of money they'll fetch?
One of those big name free agents is Nashville Predators forward, Filip Forsberg. According to TSN's Pierre LeBrun while the two sides want to get a deal done and contract talks have resumed, the two sides seem to be farther apart and unwilling to compromise at the moment. Of note here, JP Berry, Forsberg's agent also represents David Pastrnak who is also looking for an extension
Forsberg, 27 is coming off a career year in Nashville scoring a staggering 84 points in 69 games last season including 42 goals and 42 assists.
Has Forsberg's time with the Preds come to an end? All signs are pointing to a potential departure.
