Nikita Kucherov loses his s*** and throws his gloves at Equipment Manager before quitting
In the waning moments of last night's Stanley Cup deciding game, a linesman called off what appeared to be an icing play. But that wasn't what caught the attention of many fans. On the same play Nikita Kucherov can be seen at the Lightning bench throwing what appears to be a temper tantrum.
Here is a look at the play:
On the play Kucherov can be seen at the bench slamming his hands on the boards. But why? According to many, on the play Kucherov broke his stick. When he skated to the bench the Equipment Manager, where a stick wasn't ready. As the Manager tried to retrieve a stick, Kucherov lost his cool.
Kucherov pulls of his gloves and fires them at the team employee, before calling it a night and deciding to sit out the final seconds. While it's inexcusable for the Equipment Manager to not have his stick ready, this outburst by Kucherov is absolutely ridiculous.
