The former Norris Trophy winner, PK Subban is no longer the game changing player he once was. While he still possesses his booming shot and can still make a great first pass, he's lost significant parts of his skating ability. His skating ability is once what made him an elite defender.
In March of last year Subban was informed by the Devils that he no longer had a spot on the team. The Devils attempted to trade Subban at the deadline, but there were no teams willing to take on his salary. Now it appears Subban is also having a difficult time finding a new team to play for.
Rumours swirled last week that Subban had drawn some interest from the Edmonton Oilers, but no deal has come together there. Subban was reported to have felt there wasn't a fit for him in Edmonton in regards to playing time.
Other reports suggest that a near league minimum deal has already been tabled. This offer would allow Subban significant playing time, which could allow him to rebuild his value. If Subban is capable of showing he's still a valuable asset he could find himself traded to a contender at the trade deadline.
