Pat Maroon gives an emotional tear filled interview after Game 6 loss
The Pat Maroon Dynasty ended with an emotional press conference, he's been with the Tampa Bay Lightning the last three years and the Colorado Avalanche ended his hopes of a 4th ring.
"When the injury report comes out, you guys are going to be shocked."
Maroon stated, as it is the time of year for players to play injured, as evidenced by Nichushkin's injury documented by the media last night.
Erik Cernak and Jan Rutta had to leave the game as a result of injuries last night as well, of course, the Lightning were missing center, Brayden Point, an essential offensive weapon, and it showed.
Cooper noted that if it were the regular season, the Tampa Bay Lightning would be using AHL players to replace the man-games lost in current injuries.
Forward Anthony Cirelli and defenseman Erik Cernak played through injuries, as did a number of other players. The Lightning played like warriors, but got shut down by Colorado often and were stifled in their own zone near the end of the game.
