Paul Bissonnette a former National Hockey League player turned broadcaster has make a career out of running his mouth, last night on a TNT broadcast, he may have crossed the line.
According to multiple reports, Bissonnette made an off colour joke about women hockey fans that has the masses divided. The joke was clear and focused on Tyler Seguin being attractive and females enjoying that about him, but many took it the wrong way.
Paul Bissonnette really just said that half the reason the NHL has female viewership is because the players are attractive. On NATIONAL TV.
Totally gross statement that needs to be formally retracted, imo.
There are a couple things here: knowing Paul Bissonnette as a player and a person after retirement it's his job to say things that spark a debate and agitate similar to what he used to do on the ice.
The other thing at play here is the fact that it sparked outrage among the group that was targeted. Now you have one side of hockey fans upset and the other side telling them they don't know how to take a joke.
So I pose this question to you: which side are you on? Do you think Bissonnette was over the line? Or do you think he's just doing what he gets paid to do
