Normally, when kids dream of making it to the National Hockey League, they dream of doing one thing, lifting the holy grail of hockey, the Stanley Cup above their heads as they take laps around their packed home arena with legions of fans celebrating with them. That, however, does not appear to be Colorado's Pavel Francouz's dream.
When asked if he had any weird superstitions surrounding trophies like the Stanley Cup, this is how he answered,
I would definitely not touch it. But I think I can look at it, and say nice things about it.
Most people that have dreams of playing in the NHL can't wait to get their hands on the Stanley Cup, it appears that Francouz has too much respect for the trophy to touch it, even if it does take 4 mentally and physically exhausting rounds to earn it.
Honestly, this is the kind of wholesome hockey content we need to night before the finals begin, and the reason I'll be cheering for the Av's to take it home. Well that, and I'm sick and tired of everyone talking about Tampa Bay.
