Phoenix Copley gives up a goal from an absolutely awful angle
Tonight, Phoenix Copley made his season debut with the Los Angeles Kings. Copley was recalled after the Kings demoted Cal Petersen to the American Hockey League. This was Copley's debut with the Kings after having previous starts with the St. Louis Blues and Washington Capitals.
With the Kings in Montreal to play the Canadiens, Copley had an opportunity to cement himself in the backup role. With the Kings leading 3-1 in the 3rd period, Copley got beat by a terrible goal from an even worse angle. As Caufield throws the puck on net from the corner, it somehow sneaks past Copley.
The Caufield goal made the game 3-2, but the Kings added another goal late to hang on for a 4-2 victory.
