Rasmus Andersson taunts Blake Wheeler for being stripped of the captaincy
Before the season began, the Winnipeg Jets announced that the team had opted to strip Blake Wheeler of the captaincy. Wheeler's tenure in Winnipeg had been plagued with a lack of playoff success and multiple accusations of locker room issues. Multiple players had asked for trades out of Winnipeg after their perceived locker room treatment.
It would have been short sighted to believe that someone wouldn't key in on Wheeler being stripped of the "C", but I doubt anyone expected it to happen this soon. During last night's game between the Jets and Calgary Flames, Rasmus Andersson called Wheeler out on the topic.
After a late game scrum, Andersson was spotted motioning at his chest in the shape of a "C" while yelling at Wheeler.
It will be interesting to see how this situation in Winnipeg plays out because it's only a matter of time before it happens again.
