The Toronto Maple Leafs are working hard to prepare their roster for next season. The Leafs are less than 24 hours away from their arbitration hearing with Ilya Samsonov, and according to Samsonov's agent, things aren't close between the two parties. Yesterday it was revealed that the Maple Leafs were hoping for a contract worth 2.4 million per season, while Samsonov is seeking 4.9 million per season.
Once an arbitrator rules the Maple Leafs will be bound to that number, so now it appears the Maple Leafs are looking at some other options. According to Dylan Robillard of Brotherly Puck an apparent deal between the Leafs and Flyers could still be in the works.
