During the first period of Thursday night's game between the Nashville Predators and the Vegas Golden Knights, a scary incident unfolded. Brett Howden of the Golden Knights, fell awkwardly at the same time as he was being checked by the Predator's Filip Forseberg. Howden went very awkwardly into the boards and was immediately motionless.
The medical staff was waived onto the ice immediately to attend to. Once the medical team assessed Howden, he had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher. He was awake and alert when leaving the ice. There was no penalty on the play.
Vegas later updated that Howden has full movement and they hope to know more later.
