Sidney Crosby provides his typical answer after bench kicking tantrum
Saturday night the Pittsburgh Penguins faced off against the Toronto Maple Leafs in a prime time game. Early in the 1st period after a Mitch Marner goal, Penguins' Sidney Crosby was captured on camera throwing a tantrum on the bench.
Crosby would end up leaving the bench shortly after and would not return for the remainder of the period. The broadcast mentioned on multiple occasions that Crosby may have hurt himself during the outburst. But ultimately it ended up being a simple equipment issue that had removed Crosby from the game.
Today Crosby was asked about the incident and gave a patented Crosby type response.
"No. I don't know what you're talking about there," Sid said with a big grin on his face, adding that it happened prior to that.
We may never know the exact reason for Crosby's anger that night, but it's clear Sid the Kid hasn't grown all the way up yet.
