Some fans reactions to Bobby Ryan's arrest is disgusting

Bobby Ryan retired from the NHL last season to prioritize his own health during his battle with alcoholism. Unfortunately, Ryan was arrested Monday night after an incident at Nashville's International Airport.

Ryan was charged and released by Nashville police for public intoxication. Today, Ryan took to social media to thank fans for the support he's received.

Unfortunately social media can be a very toxic place. Social media often brings out the absolute worst in people with many having nothing better to do then write hateful and disgusting comments. Here's a look at some of the nasty comments Ryan has received.

However, the good definitely trumped the hate with many fans around the world expressing their love for Ryan wishing him well. We would also like to take a moment to wish Ryan well and hope he can win this battle and hopefully make a NHL return.
