Son of Hockey Hall of Fame goaltender signs AHL contract for 2023-24 season
Early on in the 2022-23 season, the Manchester Storm, a team in the EIHL, announced the signing of Jeremy Brodeur, son of hockey legend and Hall of Fame goaltender, Martin Brodeur.
Brodeur's time with the Manchester Storm wasn't bad, sporting a 15-20-0 record with a 3.34 goals against average, a .917 save percentage and one shutout in 36 regular season games. He quickly became a fan favourite in Manchester, with many hoping he'd return for the 2023-24 season.
On Tuesday, the Storm announced that Jeremy Brodeur will be leaving the organization and has secured an AHL contract with a soon to be announced team for the next campaign.
Brodeur took the time to thank the Storm organization and their fans for their hospitality.
"Thank you to everyone who made Manchester feel like my home last season! Storm fans thank you for all the amazing support both home and away. Nothing will ever be like playing in front of you guys in a packed Shelter! Best of luck next season I will be keeping an eye out for the results!" Brodeur said.
