The University of Michigan Hockey has become a school known for producing great talents like Matty Beniers, Kent Johnson, and Dylan Larkin.

They're currently 10-5-1 for the season and 2-4-0 in their own Big Ten Conference.

However, they did have a setback, with six Michigan Hockey players hit with a respiratory illness, where 1 player ended up being put on a ventilator.

Holt would go on to miss the series opener against the University of Minnesota, fighting what may have been RSV.

«Holtzy stopped by the rink today,» Naurato said. «It was awesome to see him and see that he's doing better. He's still got a little bit of a road to recovery, but he's smiling and talking and super positive for him to be around the boys.»

Holtz was on the road to recovery after his struggle on the ventilator, as of November 22nd.

The defenseman has been rostered on the Michigan hockey team since 2020-2021 and has played a total of 21 NCAA hockey games in his collegiate career.

In the BCHL with the Penticton Vees, Holtz put up 27 points in 51 games in Junior A before arriving in Michigan.
