Teddy Blueger gets away with spearing a Blackhawks forward and Jonathan Toews is pissed
Late in yesterday's game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Chicago Blackhawks, Teddy Blueger delivered a spear to Philipp Kurashev. The spear went undetected by the officials but was caught by Blackhawks Captain, Jonathan Toews.
Unfortunately for Toews with his team trailing by 1 he wasn't able to exact any real revenge without risking taking a penalty.
The Penguins would eventually score an empty net goal to make the score 5-3 at which point Blueger and Reese Johnson would both be given misconduct penalties. This dropped the Hawks record to 6-9-3, pushing them closer to the Connor Bedard sweepstakes.
