Puljujarvi has been shopped before as a trade piece before and according to Elliotte Friedman, back in December there's been talk between Puljujarvi's camp and Oilers management about moving the winger, should things continue as they are. Clearly, Ken Holland is holding cards and I'm just not sure he's holding the right hand, as Puljujarvi could thrive elsewhere. Under Woodcroft's system, the winger has 10 points in 45 games. Holland thinks he may be able to get more for him, but at this point, if you need to clear salary cap space, he should fold and lower his expectations.
Puljujarvi had a bright spot last season after Woodcroft took the reigns, but honestly, he needs a coach that will bring out his confidence again. Things have taken such a negative turn for Puljujarvi that the Oilers will make him a healthy scratch tonight.
