Terry Ryan made his pro comeback today with the Newfoundland Growlers of the ECHL, something that the newly 47 year old had thought was a joke to begin with.

In an interview post game today, Terry described the experience and how he thought at first, it was a practical joke, take a look.

Terry Ryan says he was "5 or 6 pints in" on Saturday night celebrating his birthday when Growlers forward and good friend Zach O'Brien gave him a call about playing on Sunday. Thought it was a joke before Adam Pardy called.

Went home, drank 4L of water, and had a bite to eat.

Terry starts by saying that he was out celebrating his birthday before Growlers forward Zach O'Brien, but thought it was a joke, but it was followed by a phone call by Adam Pardy who is the Growlers who is now a Player Development coach for the team.

Terry then goes on to detail how important playing in front of his young daughter who has never seen him play in a pro game.

This is an unbelievable gesture by the Growlers and if nothing else has shown Ryan can still chuck ‘em
