New York Islanders' Legend Mike Bossy passed away yesterday after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Bossy was only 65-years-old at the time of his passing.
Bossy is regarded as one of the greatest pure goal scorers of all-time, but he's held in even higher regard as a person. Bossy did so much for both the fans and the game of hockey.
The hockey world has lost a significant piece of their community with the passing of Mike Bossy. In an almost perfect sequence of events, the New York Islanders were visiting the Montreal Canadiens Friday night. Montreal just happens to be the home of the Bossy Family.
The Canadiens and Islanders were able to put together an amazing tribute video for the Islanders Legend. With the Bossy Family in attendance this was nearly a perfect moment.
Mike Bossy's daughter, Tanya and his granddaughters were in attendance for the game and took part in the emotional tribute given to Mike Bossy.
Thank you Mike Bossy
