Fighting in hockey has been common place over the years, albeit less now than before. There are a lot of reasons to fight a person in the game of hockey, heck fighting is a form of self policing, but have you ever seen a brawl start during a shootout?
Well now you have, yesterday during a game in the FPHL that saw the Watertown Wolves take on the Carolina Thunderbirds.
Things escalated when Thunderbirds forward Dawson Baker took an extra shot after his shootout attempt. Wolves goaltender Gregory Hussey didn't much card for that and met him at the top of the circles. After the two exchange some words, they quickly decided to drop the gloves.
As Baker is skating off the ice, he also attempts to go at the wolves bench, along with some other players who had to be held back.
Goaltenders don't often have to stand up for themselves, but when they do it makes for great time.
This kind of thing would only happen in the FPHL and I love it
