Tim Stutzle butt ends Simon Benoit in the face and somehow isn't ejected
After another terrible start it's becoming clear that the Ottawa Senators are becoming extremely frustrated. After being crowned the winners of the summer the team has been everything but impressive to start the season. The Senators currently sit last in the Eastern Conference, a place they didn't think they'd find themselves.
Today the Senators are facing off against the Anaheim Ducks in an early season preview of the Connor Bedard Bowl. During the 1st period of today's game Tim Stutzle was very lucky to not be ejected. After engaging in the corner with Simon Benoit, Stutzle let's his temper get the best of him.
After taking a hit from Benoit, an angry Stutzle spins around and delivers a butt end hammer fist directly to Benoit's face.
On the play Stutzle was only issued two minutes for roughing. Stutzle will potentially hear from NHL Player Safety after this questionable play.
