Tony DeAngelo throws his stick at Brad Marchand to try and prevent a goal
Tony DeAngelo and Brad Marchand battled back and forth for the better part of 4 games now. They've involved themselves in extra curricular after the whistle and earlier today Marchand called DeAngelo a "fucking racist".
To close today's game though Brad Marchand broke in unopposed on a breakaway with an empty net. So DeAngelo turned to the last option, which was to simply throw his stick at Marchand and the puck.
DeAngelo was unsuccessful in his attempt, but even if he was successful the goal would have still counted. The Bruins went onto win Game 4, 5-2, which allowed them to knot the series at 2 games a piece. Game 5 goes Tuesday night in Carolina, where the Canes will look to retake a series lead.
