Toronto Maple Leafs continue to exclude member of the Core Four from all marketing materials
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Kyle Dubas are betting big that this will finally be the year that the Core Four breakthrough into the second round. Early in his career when Dubas was asked if he could keep his core together he famously replied, "we can and we will". Unfortunately that core hasn't repaid him in playoff success.
But for years its seemed like the Maple Leafs as a franchise have excluded one of the Core Four from all marketing materials. Last year during the playoffs the Maple Leafs left William Nylander off of all their marketing materials, instead opting to include Michael Bunting and TJ Brodie.
Now it seems entering another a season the Leafs have again opted to leave Nylander off of their new marketing signage.
Leafs fans of course immediately took notice.
It's clear the Maple Leafs have made a decision with their marketing campaign and are going to stick with it. Given the cap situation it's likely only a matter of time before William Nylander's time in Toronto comes to an end.
