Toronto Sun under fire after ridiculous cover story about Mitch Marner's carjacking
The Toronto Sun has never been known as the most reputable source for news. They often try and use shock value to draw in readers, but many online feel with their latest cover they've gone too far.
After Mitch Marner was carjacked at gun and knife point, the Toronto Sun chose to run a hockey related headline of "Takeaway" making light of the situation. You can see the cover here:
Users online didn't waste much time criticizing the Sun for their post.
While the headline on it's own is in poor taste the first line of the article also leaves a rather poor taste in many reader's mouths.
While Marner has been on the receiving end of some rough play on the ice, this is a whole new level of disgusting
The referencing of Marner's on ice play in an article about a carjacking feels out of place and in poor taste.
What do you think, was the cover in poor taste?
