Its been over a week since the biggest trade of the offseason went down. The Florida Panthers acquired Matthew Tkachuk and a conditional draft pick from the Calgary Flames for Jonathan Huberdeau, MacKenzie Weegar, Cole Schwindt and a 1st round pick in 2025.
Huberdeau announced he's switching his number in a short video tweeted out by the organization.

Huberdeau wore No. 11 throughout his entire 10-year career with the Panthers and also in junior with the Saint John Sea Dogs in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, but was forced to swap after the trade because Mikael Backlund has worn the digits since 2010.
If GM Brad Treliving can sign Huberdeau and Weegar to long term contracts this could turn into a really great trade for Calgary.
