Vegas Golden Knights linked to 3 potential goaltenders to replace Robin Lehner
Today the Vegas Golden Knights announced that Robin Lehner was set to miss the entire 2022-2023 NHL season. Lehner and his medical team have decided that he must undergo hip surgery on an injury that has failed to heal on its own.
With this injury, it leave Vegas in a very tough spot with only Logan Thompson and Michael Hutchinson currently healthy with NHL experience. It is expected that Vegas will look at add some additional help in goal.
Dating back to last trade deadline, the Golden Knights attempted to acquire Semyon Varlamov from the Islanders. According to sources, Vegas has already renewed those conversations. But there is some doubt that Lou Lamoriello is interested in breaking up his goaltending tandem.
#VegasBorn certainly expressed interest in the #isles Semyon Varlamov last trade deadline. As far as I'm told, Vegas is not on his no-trade list. However, I'm hesitant to believe Lamoriello wants to break up his goalie tandem at this point, just a hunch.

Vegas has also reportedly checked in on both James Reimer (San Jose) and Jake Allen (Montreal). Vegas could also look to acquire Jonathan Quick as the Los Angeles Kings look to transition to Cal Peterson as their full-time starter, but only time will tell what Vegas decides to do.
