The Winnipeg Jets are having a pretty good season and are starting to feel the cap crunch with the cap and have a limited amount of players on 2-way contracts. This has them needing to make a tough decision to alleviate some much needed cap space for some upcoming roster movements.
Today the Jets placed Jansen Harkins has been placed on waivers, with the hope he will be able to be sent to the Manitoba Moose as of tomorrow if no one claims him.
Jansen has had a slow season with only 3G and 2A in 22 games. He was signed to a 2 year/1-way deal this summer with a cap hit of $850 000.
