Zach Kassian one punches Eric Robinson during a wild scrum involving Elvis Merzlikins
Zach Kassian is known for having a short fuse and today that was on full display. During a scrum in the 1st period, which was started by a Connor McDavid cross-check. Kassian was one of the last players to arrive to a scrum but he quickly made his presence felt.
Kassian quickly grabbed hold of Eric Robinson, dropped his gloves and fed Robinson one solid shot. The shot immediately dropped Robinson to the ice in a heap.
Both Robinson and Kassian picked up 2-minute roughing minors on the play, which seems like Kassian got away lucky. But as the period ended Kassian couldn't keep quiet as he said something to the officials and whatever it was, was enough to earn him a 10-minute misconduct for abuse of officials.
