Earlier this week, it was reported by Michael Russo of The Athletic that veteran forward Zach Parise was getting close to making a return to the National Hockey League with the Colorado Avalanche.
Moments ago, Parise signed a one year deal with the Avalanche according to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli; take a look.
Parise's one year deal Carrie's a cap hit of 825k with no performance bonuses. This is kind of odd considering veterans usually get some kind of extra money for games played, points and how for their team makes it in the playoffs with them in the lineup.
Parise, 39, has yet to play this year, but had been a rather consistent bitten 6 forward the last few years with the New York Islanders.
This has the potential to be sneakily good add for the Avalanche, who need help with their depth scoring at times.
