The Anaheim Ducks should have a solid core by now, unfortunately they haven't been able to take a step forward in the standings for a number of years now, that hasn't stopped them from signing a very controversial top prospect to his first contract in the National Hockey League.
According to Chris Johnston of TSN, the Ducks have signed controversial top prospect, Cutter Gauthier to a 3-year entry level deal. It starts right away; take a look.
The Anaheim Ducks have signed Cutter Gauthier to his entry-level contract. The deal begins right away.
Gauthier was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers 5th overall in the 2022 NHL entry draft, but refused to talk to the Flyers and was dealt to the Ducks in a deal that sent Jamie Drysdale the other way.
The 20 year old forward lead the NCAA in goals with 38 this season and added 27 assists for a total of 65 points in just 41 games.
Gauthier also made headlines talking trash out Denver before losing 2-0 in the National Championship game.
Do you think Gauthier will help the Ducks next season and beyond? If he can learn to control his ego, he could be a very good hockey player.
