This year, it has been revealed that prospects are being asked what their Snapchat score and Uber rating are. Nobody will give up the team that asked this, but it certainly is a question! It almost reminds you of what Mike Babcock had been accused of doing before being let go by the Columbus Blue Jackets. Asking players to go through their phones to see there camera roll. That's quite intrusive, no matter how you swing it.
If you recall, in 2022, the Montreal Canadiens asked prospect Calle Odelius if he would pick $10 from a toilet seat or $50 from the toilet itself, but I mean, if you're touching the toilet seat, wouldn't you want to grab the $50 as well inside the bowl?
It's one of those things that makes you shake your head and wonder how they come up with some of these questions and, ultimately, why they would even bother asking things that could be deemed quite intrusive. But in all honesty and seriousness, if players are coming to the combine in hopes of one day playing hockey in the National Hockey League, they have either already experienced some tough moments in their lives or are continuing to prepare for tough moments they're going to endure during their careers. Whether these events happen during the combine or after they are drafted and are on the ice, it only matters how they handle it moving forward.
