Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney met with members of the media today to discuss the team's performance in light of firing the Bruins head coach. He made it clear players aren't performing the way they should be, and a lack of improvement will mean more changes across the board.
While Sweeney appears to be ready to bring down the hammer, there are plenty of fans who feel any changes should start with him. He has been the team's GM since 2015, with the team making the Stanley Cup Final once in that time.
We'll now have to wait and see what happens if the players don't improve under interim head coach Joe Sacco. In the meantime, there are likely some nervous people within the Boston Bruins organization.
