Brady Tkachuk concern grows after latest hint from Senators

Brady Tkachuk has Ottawa uneasy again, and the Senators captain suddenly looks like a star carrying too much at the worst time.
The concern picked up steam after Travis Green admitted Tkachuk has not looked like the best version of himself every night.
Green called the last six or seven weeks emotional, and he pointed to fatigue as part of it. That is not nothing when your captain sets the pulse.
Tkachuk still produced after coming back from Team USA duty, with four goals and nine points in that stretch heading into the Islanders game.
That stat helps, but it does not kill the bigger feeling around Ottawa.
Fans have heard the trade noise. They have heard the family angle too, with Matthew Tkachuk in Florida, and it has added heat around every shift.
The eye test made this story feel louder than the numbers.
You can almost hear the strain in Green's voice when he tries to explain it.
Brady Tkachuk has Ottawa Senators on edge
The mood around this one feels split between worry and defiance, and fans are right to read into every comment right now.
Then Tkachuk answered in the best way he could.
He dropped the gloves with Anders Lee early, then buried the game-winner in regulation with seconds left against the New York Islanders.
That is the Brady Tkachuk blueprint. Drag the game into the fight, then finish it.
It also shows why Ottawa cannot afford for his game, or his headspace, to drift even a little.
When Tkachuk drives the top-six, the Senators play with bite. When he looks worn down, the whole group feels flatter.
That ripple matters as the season tightens. A tired captain changes line chemistry, forecheck pressure, and the edge this team leans on.
So yes, the worry is real, but so is the pushback from Tkachuk himself.
Ottawa now needs the version of Brady Tkachuk that plays loud, scores late, and drags everyone with him into the next big game.
