Brandon Hagel has been very up front over his pride in the Canadian flag throughout the Four Nations, and now he's fired a shot at Team USA after he won gold following Connor McDavid's overtime heroics.

Leading up to the Four Nations Finale, there was immense trash talk from both sides with the tensions between the United States and Canada rising, and unsurprisingly, it was the Tkachuk brothers right at the centre of it all, as it was throughout the tournament both on and off the ice.
Most notable of all was a line from Matthew Tkachuk after comments about his group chat with Brady and J.T. Miller where he fired back at Team Canada saying 'maybe their team doesn't like each other that much'.
That was something Canada clearly took note of, and in the hours following their gold medal victory, Brandon Hagel took a shot at Tkachuk on social media, showing a group chat involving all of Team Canada, aptly named 'Champions'.
With all of the political tension around this game to go along with the intense atmosphere in Boston for the big game, there was so much on the line for both teams and countries, but at the end of the day, mirroring the Golden Goal from 11 years ago, the Canadians once again came out on top in dramatic OT circumstances.
While Hagel may not have been the biggest factor in the Finale, he was one of Canada's most consistent players throughout the entire tournament, and after standing up for his team and his country in the media throughout the leadup to this game, he's clearly not going to let the Tkachuk's live down their trash talk that ultimately backfired in the Finale.
