Brad Marchand may be hitting the open market this summer and could be heading north of the border, as there is one Canadian team willing to offer Marchand his desired deal.
Brad Marchand was a real difference maker in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The notorious rat
scored 10 goals and 20 points in 23 games to help the Panthers win the cup and had multiple massive moments in the Stanley Cup Finals.
Recently, insider Nick Kypreos indicated that the Maple Leafs might be the only team willing to offer Marchand the term he wants, four years as a 37-year-old, and Kypreos believes that nobody else may be willing to match the Leafs' offer.
The Maple Leafs "might be the only team willing to give Brad Marchand 4 years" "I don't see another team matching" what the Leafs can offer
Marchand recently alluded to potentially signing in Toronto with a comment on an Instagram post, which was about him joining the Leafs this summer.
However, Marchand has also told Panthers fans otherwise, as he said he is not leaving Florida with some rather colorful language.
If Marchand's actions give any indication of where he will be going, it looks like he will either stay in Florida or head to Toronto, where he will be signed till he is 41 years old.
