Controversial Former NHLer Takes Unnecessary Shot At Kendrick Lamar For Super Bowl Half-Time Performance

On Sunday night, the entire sports world was talking about the Super Bowl, with the Kansas City Chiefs stopped short in their quest for a three-peat as Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles ran rampant on the way to a 40-22 victory.

That wasn't the only talking point from the event however, as the performance of Kendrick Lamar at the half-time show had the entire stadium rocking, with many fans on social media absolutely loving the performance.

However, there was some backlash from a particular part of the audience, with former NHLer Marc Methot getting in on the criticism of Lamar on social media despite the rave reviews from the majority.

This comes despite the energy in the crowd and the majority positive reaction on social media, with Methot stating that the performance sounded terrible, despite the above video seeming to be a clear win for Lamar and his performance.

In follow up comments, Methot made it clear what he would like to see at the Super Bowl, as he responded to a fan asking for rock acts to be put on this biggest stage, which appears to be a common request from many fans.

Ultimately, the opinion of one man isn't going to make or break the NFL's opinion on their half-time acts moving forward, and while we likely won't be seeing a top rapper on the stage next season, for the most part, the reaction beyond Methot appears to be very positive from the event this year.
