When you think of hockey in Arizona, no matter how bleak it may seem now, there's only one name that comes to mind, former captain Shane Doan. He did so much for hockey in Arizona during his playing career and even got the chance to be the one to call his son Josh's name when the Coyotes drafted him back in 2021.
Now, according to TSN's Chris Johnston, the Coyotes have called the younger Doan up to play in his National Hockey League debut, Tuesday night; take a look.
Doan, 22, has been having a good season down in the American Hockey League this year with the Tucson Roadrunners where he has scored 26 goals and added 20 assists for a total of 46 points in 62 games.
Trying to live up to the massive hole his father left when he retired won't be good for the youngster, but if he can manage to stay within himself, he should be able to be a contributing member of the Coyotes for years to come
