Jake Oettinger makes the luckiest save of the entire year to
The Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers are facing off in a pivotal Game 4 when Jake Oettinger came away with the luckiest save of the entire series.
With the game tied 2-2 in the 1st period Jake Oettinger found him in a spot no goalie wants to find themselves. With the Edmonton Oilers swarming, Oettinger lost his stick while trying to track the puck. With his goal stick behind him the Oilers continued to attack.
As Connor McDavid tips the puck on goal it cleanly beats Oettinger. However as the puck seems to be gliding into the net it comes in contact with the goal stick and somehow manages to stay out of the net.
After the first period the game remains tied 2-2.
