St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington got into it with Oilers' Corey Perry last night, taking him out in a dirty play, which could warrant further discipline.

The Oilers and St. Louis Blues brought full-playoff intensity to the ice Wednesday, and emotions were high at the opening of the first period.
Pandemonium broke out when Oilers player Corey Perry stood in front of St. Louis goaltender Jordan Binnington. Binnington reacted physically, taking out Perry and throwing some fists in the process, only to be separated by officials.
In so doing, Binnington's actions may not pass without notice by the league. His shots at Perry may earn him further scrutiny by the NHL's Department of Player Safety.
Binnington, known for his quick trigger and hot head, can expect supplemental penalties should his actions have gone beyond what is acceptable.
Matters only worsened when St. Louis winger Jake Neighbours and Perry fell out and began punching each other after nine minutes of play.

The Oilers won the game with under 30 seconds to play

Connor Brown was Edmonton's savior, scoring late in the third period for the Oilers to achieve a 4-3 victory. Connor McDavid set up back-to-back Brown goals. Edmonton is now ahead of St. Louis in its quest for the playoffs by two points.
Edmonton stands at 45-28-5 and 95 points with four games remaining. St. Louis, which has two games remaining, is now at 43-30-7 and 93 points.
Blues head coach Jim Montgomery was displeased with his team's failure to keep McDavid in check, who remains an opponent to be reckoned with out on the ice.
