Noah Hanifin signs maximum length contract with Vegas Golden Knights

Noah Hanifin and the Vegas Golden Knights have agreed to a new contract that keeps Hanifin with the team for the next eight years. It's worth close to $60 million.
After picking up defenceman Noah Hanifin from the Calgary Flames at the trade deadline for Daniil Miromanov, a first-round draft pick, and a conditional third-round draft pick, GM Kelly McCrimmon wasted no time in signing the 27 year old to a deal worth $7.35 million per season for the next eight years.
"Hanifin is essentially a 9-years-younger upgrade over UFA Alec Martinez. I like the fit. Interested what ripples there are for the rest of the roster this summer.

Hanifin has played in 16 games with Vegas since being acquired on March 6, and has 2 goals and 9 points during that span. Hanifin is currently in his ninth season in the League and has collected 283 points (62 G, 221 A) in 675 games.
