Panthers' fans fail to show up, on time

Before the start of the playoff series between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers it had been discovered that anyone who tried to use a credit card connected to a Canadian address to purchase tickets for their second-round matchup in Sunrise at the FLA Live Arena was unable to do so. While this appeared to only be temporary and apparently commonplace amongst teams, this created some questions as to whether or not Maple Leafs fans were welcome and more importantly, whether or not the Panthers would be able to fill their rink with fans.

While the attendance for the game was recorded to be 19,868 at one moment in time caught by CBC contributor Devin Heroux, fans who were in their seats struggled to move the team's large flag that sails across the tops of the heads of fan in a number of sections from one side of the rink to the other.

The point isn't that Panthers fans didn't bother to show up as the announced capacity was approximately 103.2%, but that the fans, like the team they showed up to watch failed to show up on time.

If the series makes it to game six, back in Florida, the fans and of course the team might want to consider showing up on time as to not miss out on the action.
