The 2023 Stanley Cup Final start date has been revealed
The Dallas Stars extended the Western Conference Final to a fifth game after defeated the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday night thanks to an overtime powerplay goal off the stick of Joe Pavelski.
With Dallas' win forcing the aforementioned Game 5 on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, we now know the potential start date for the 2023 Stanley Cup Final, thanks to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli.
If Golden Knights wins the series on Saturday night in front of the home crowd, then the Stanley Cup Final will begin on Wednesday, May 31st. Game 1 would be in Vegas against the Eastern Conference champions, the Florida Panthers.
If the Dallas Stars win Game 5 and force a Game 6 back in the 'Lone Star State' on Monday night, then the 2023 Stanley Cup Final won't begin until Saturday, June 3rd.
The Florida Panthers will be patiently awaiting the Western Conference champion after they took down the Carolina Hurricanes in four games on Wednesday night. Matthew Tkachuk scored the series-clinching goal with only seconds to spare in the third period.
