Carolina Hurricanes and Colorado Avalanche announce Tuesday trade
The NHL season is set to being in just over four hours, and teams are required to have all final rosters submitted thirty minutes before the start of the game. This leaves teams a very minimal amount of time to complete their rosters, but it hasn't stopped the Colorado Avalanche and Carolina Hurricanes from making a trade.
The following trade was announced this afternoon:
The #Canes have acquired forward Callahan Burke from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Caleb Jones.
Burke will remain on loan with the Colorado Eagles (AHL). The deal provides the Avalanche some additional depth in their backend after the team suffered a scare when Bowen Byram was shaken up by a big hit.
