Once seen as the future of the franchise, Trevor Zegras was considered to be an untouchable for the Anaheim Ducks. Fast forward 4 years and after a contentious salary negotiation, it appears the ducks are already ready to move on from their projected Superstar.
Earlier this month, news began to surface that Anaheim had begun to receive offers Zegras. Now it appears, but once seemed like a long shot, he's becoming closer to a reality everyday. As teams begin to prepare for the NHL draft. It now appears at four teams have identified Zegras as a possible solution.
According to David Pagnotta The Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers, Ottawa Senators and Calgary Flames have all expressed interest in the forward.
In 211 career games Zegras has 55 goals and 99 assists. While expectations were high for Zegras he hasn't lived up to the hype. Despite a few highlight reel goals, Zegras has beed mediocre.
If a deal for Zegras comes to fruition it's likely to occur before the first round of the NHL Draft is complete.
