Anaheim Ducks goalie John Gibson was once regarded as one of the top five best goalies in the game but after a string of down years he doesn't hold that status anymore.

On Monday night Gibson's Ducks were visiting the Pittsburgh Penguins. With the 1st period winding down, Pittsburgh was pressing for the goal ahead goal. Penguins Evgeni Malkin fired a cross crease pass to Sidney Crosby, with practically open cage Crosby fired. Gibson dove and astonishingly made the behind the back save with his stick.

Unfortunately Gibson was injured on the play, as a result the Ducks backup goalie Lukas Dostal was tasked to fill in. The 23 year old Czech native has kept the Penguins off the board since entering the game, making 14 saves.

The Ducks have the lead 2-1 in the second period.
