Former NHLer reportedly considering making a comeback
After retiring from professional hockey in May 2022, it appears that former NHL forward Peter Holland is gearing up for a comeback.
According to TSN's Darren Dreger, Holland has been training with former NHLer Gary Roberts and is hoping to earn a professional try-out contract this summer.
"Anyone in the market for a center trying to make a comeback to the NHL? 32 year old @PeterHolland13 seemingly ended his career in Russia in 2022. He's currently training with Gary Roberts and is hoping for an NHL tryout." Dreger said.
Holland, a native of Toronto, spent parts of seven seasons in the National Hockey League between 2011 and 2018 with the Anaheim Ducks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Arizona Coyotes and New York Rangers, putting up 85 points in 266 games.
His final professional season came in 2021-22 when he played for Djurgarden IF in the Swedish Hockey League. Holland had six assists, 31 penalty minutes and was a minus-seven in 15 games with the Swedish club.
