It seems things are getting a bit dicey between the Anaheim Ducks and long-time number one netminder John Gibson, who has only played for Anaheim since being drafted there in 2011, has reportedly told the team he'll never wear their jersey again during a game.

"John Gibson has asked for a trade. And I've reported that," said Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff. "And he said 'I am not playing another game for the Anaheim Ducks.'"

Gibson has played a total of 431 regular season games for the Ducks over the years. He's also a three-time All-Star, a winner of the William M. Jennings trophy, and someone who has stuck with the team through some tough times. Gibson telling the Ducks he's 100 percent done with the team means there were likely some tough conversations that took place away from public eyes and ears.

At 29 years of age, Gibson has some very good years to offer a team yet. He has four seasons left on his current deal, with an annual cap hit of $6.4 million. Gibson has a modified no-trade clause that allows him to submit a list of 10 teams that he refuses to play for.
