13-year NHL veteran to be scratched for trade-related reasons
It's trade season and with that always comes players being scratched, which fuels speculation that a move could be imminent as was the case with former Anaheim Ducks defenceman Ilya Lyubushkin last week prior to going to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
On Tuesday, we have yet another player being scratched for what's being called 'trade-related reasons', this time, a 13-year veteran of the National Hockey League.
In a post on X, former Twitter, on Tuesday afternoon, Chris Johnston of TSN shared that Arizona Coyotes forward Jason Zucker won't play tonight against the Chicago Blackhawks for 'trade-related reasons'.
"Hearing that veteran forward Jason Zucker is being held out of the #coyotes lineup for tonight's game vs. Chicago.
He's drawing trade interest from multiple teams." Johnston said.

One of the teams that is reportedly interested in Jason Zucker is the Western Conference leaders, the Vancouver Canucks. According to Rick Dhaliwal, the Canucks have 'poked around' on Zucker recently.
"3 weeks ago I was told they don't have interest in him but early this morning I found out they're poking around on Zucker...The ask is pretty high." Dhaliwal said.
In 51 games this season, Zucker, a native of Newport Beach, California, has put up 25 points (nine goals, 16 assists), 58 penalty minutes and is a minus-five.
