Charlie McAvoy gets away with a vicious two hand slash on Sam Bennet
Last night the Florida Panthers and Boston Bruins faced off in a closely contested game 5, one that would eventually go the Panther's way despite being outplayed.
Late in the game, Florida forward Sam Bennett went for the tip in front of the net, missed and decided to slash at Linus Ullmark's glove, take a look:
Looks like McAvoy went to slash his stick and missed.
McAvoy takes exception and appears to try and slash Bennett's stick out of his hands, but misses, catching the top of his foot, while Bennett bends over in pain, McAvoy pushes him to the ice.
I have no problem with the no call here. It's later in a playoff game and if you call one, you really have to take both players off
As playoff series get later into games 5, 6 and 7, it's nice that the officials put their whistles away. However, it only works if it's applied evenly on both sides.
