Maroon furious after Domi collides with Swayman during TV timeout
The Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs were deadlocked at one game a piece heading into Wednesday night's matchup at Scotiabank Arena. It was an important game for both teams, and a physical affair too, one which saw some fireworks during a TV timeout.
During the second period, as the game was going to a commercial break, Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman was making his way back to the team's bench when Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi bumps into him, causing the netminder to fall to the ice.
Bruins forward Pat Maroon was not happy with Max Domi colliding with his goaltender and tried to get at the Maple Leafs goaltender, before being restrained by a linesman. Once Maroon was escorted back to the Bruins' bench, he was furious and yelling at Domi and the officials.
"Pat Maroon was FURIOUS after Max Domi bumped into Jeremy Swayman during a commercial break 😳😡"
The game would head into the second intermission tied up at 1-1, but then the Bruins poured it on in the third period, scoring three goals, including two from captain Brad Marchand, to give them a 4-2 win and a 2-1 series lead.
