If you've followed the Calgary Flames for any length of time, you're likely familiar with their Assistant General Manager Chris Snow.

Snow, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2019 continues to defy the odds while battling an illness that typically takes the life of an individual within two to five years of the onset of detection.

During general manager Brad Treliving's press conference to wrap up the Flames trade deadline day, he was asked about Snow' absence and had this to say:

Emotional pause from Treliving when asked about Chris Snow not being part of the war room:

‘He had a tough night last night. He's battling. So when you think it's a hard day that's a hard day. He's texting from the emergency room. That tells ya about Chris Snow.'

Snow, his family, and the entire Flames organization have not been shy about Chris' battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease and in fact he and his family were present and presented the Norris Trophy at the 2022 National Hockey League awards.

Chris' wife Kelsey consistently provides updates on how her husband is doing and although sometimes heartbreaking, it takes strength to keep Chris' many well-wishers informed on how he's doing.
